Mission
The VLS-Group aims to be perceived as the most reliable, cost effective provider of logistics service solutions to the chemical, food and other industries worldwide. This requires the capability to provide efficient, high quality value adding services combined with the highest ethical, safety, health, environmental and quality standards both on a local and global level.

Strategy
By achieving a continuously high safety, health and environmental performance, equal to those of its major customers, the VLS-Group aims to be recognised and selected as the logistics service provider of choice for the markets in which we are active.

• We are committed to protecting the environment, the safety and health of our employees, our customers, our contractors, the community and other third parties in relation to all our activities. 
• We are committed to continuous improvement in our processes to manage safety, health and environmental performance. 
• We are committed to contributing to the continuity of our company through recognition, evaluation and control of hazards. 
• We aim at zero incidents. 
• Our environmental policies and objectives will strictly adhere to all governing regulations, as a minimum. 
• We consider safety, health and the environment a line management responsibility. We require every VLS-Group manager to give visible commitment to provide the resources of personnel, time and money necessary to support the implementation of our safety, health and environmental policy. 
• We are focussed on fulfilment of our customers requirements to full customer satisfaction 
• Every employee contributes to the prevention of accidents by identifying, analysing, and controlling safety, health and environmental hazards, supported by training programs adapted to their functions. 
• We have established a Behaviour Based Safety (BBS) plan, which will be implemented into our safety, health and environmental policy. 
• The use of drugs and alcohol is strongly dissuaded. It is not allowed to be present under (rest) alcohol or drug influence and the use is strictly forbidden during office hours. 
• Every employee contributes to the security of our services by protecting people and property from loss by intentional destruction or theft.

The VLS-Group conforms to these high standards and acts in line with the responsible care program of the (petro-) chemical industry.
