VLS-Group awarded by Ineos Manufacturing Deutschland GmbH

INEOS Manufacturing Deutschland GmbH has decided to award the Cup for the Logistic Service Provider of the Year 2006 to VLS-Group Logistics Germany GmbH.

The motivation for this award is the fact that the VLS-Group developed and implemented an innovative and environmental friendly logistic solution for the pre-carriage of the overseas logistics of Polyethylene.

In addition INEOS and VLS-Group also upgraded the information flow and internal cooperation. VLS-Group received direct access to the SAP-system of INEOS Köln. The logistics department of VLS in Düsseldorf now handles all transport orders completely independent as an in-house outsourced logistics department. A daily Status report supplies all concerned all required information about the status of every order in process.

The VLS Group is a European independent logistics group, operating more than 200.000 m² of warehouses for the storage and handling of packed classified and non-classified materials. The group‘s strategy is to expand and optimize its European network by offering high quality integrated customer-specific logistical solutions. These solutions include all transport requirements by sea, rail, road(truck) and air.
